EQ Global team will be taking on the Coast-to-Coast challenge to raise money for charity.

EQ Global has put together a team of cyclists who will be taking on the Coast-to-Coast challenge on 23rd and 24th of September.

The 140-mile challenge from Whitehaven to Tynemouth, which will take place across two days, incorporates over 9,500ft of elevation gain.

The event is being organised by Cintra, who invited the EQ Global team to take part.

The three-man team will be raising money for COCO (Comrades of Children Overseas), an international children’s charity based in Newcastle upon Tyne. COCO works with communities in remote regions of the developing world on projects that provide children with access to the education that is essential for a good start in life.

Teammates consist of:

  • Nick "the MAMIL" Kay
  • Oliver "I've done a 20mile ride before" Rix
  • Josh "I'll wait for you at the top" Holloway
  • Nick "I'll shout encouragement from the comfort of the support vehicle" Pedersen
  • Thomas "I make this look good" Campbell
  • Neil “can I start a barbecue on this hill” Kinnon

Nick Pedersen, Managing Director, said: “We are excited to be taking on this challenge as a team and to raise valuable funds for COCO in the process. It’s a fantastic opportunity to challenge ourselves while taking part in a valuable team building exercise – something which is of great importance to us as we grow our business.”

The team aims to raise £600 for the charity – you can make donations via the Virgin Money Giving page here.
